Monday

I exercised and we started back to school today. Charlie had a hard time getting up and made us an hour late.  Tommy was on time though. 

Charlie went to swimming. Kurt, Joe, and Bob are starting to move into their new apartment. Tom worked with John at the apartment putting in new doors. 

We went to our gig at Sloppy's. Callie and Jake came today. They love being on stage.

Sunday

Charlie's friend Mathew slept over last night. This morning we went to church. Tom's friend John T. was here and after church we took him to see our new house, then over to Kim's new house. He and tom installed Kim's new microwave over her new stove. Tom took me home and went back to Kim's to finish the job. I quilted some more. 

We went to our class at church. Then the boys played hockey and I made supper, lentil and split pea soup and a salad.

Saturday

I've been too busy this past week. Thanksgiving dinner took me three days, to shop, prepare, eat, and clean up. 

Tuesday- I walked. :0) Charlie had a fiddle lesson and I got groceries. I made chili, corn bread, and salad for supper. The boys played hockey. The kids practiced for Night of Thanks. . I wove with Kim. 

Wednesday- I made 4 pumpkin pies and 2 apple. The kids had another practice. I made yummy sweet potatoes to take to church and went over for Night of Thanks, which was awesome. I watched Reed during the second concert. 

Thursday- I made food and cleaned all day. TJ and Ang had a gig at Sunset Pier so I watched the kids. The boys played hockey and we are dinner at about 8:30 PM. The food was yummy but afterwards I was exhausted.. The kids played cards. Kim, Charlie, and I played Scrabble earlier. 

Friday- Tom, Ed, Joe, and I worked with Habitat for humanity from 8 AM to -11 AM. We cleaned up a yard, removing brush and such. We didn't finish but maybe another day. After that we stopped at the house before heading to KIm's house to help her move.  We worked there a few hours, went to the new house, and then I had to go to TJ's to bbsit. I took them to my house for a while and then back to their house to put them to bed. Poor Violet was a sick with a fever and runny nose. She wanted to be held so much I put her in my ringsling where she fell asleep. At 8::30 I took them back to to TJ's. We watched a little cartoons and then I out them to bed. Iwas  ssoooo tired. :0) the band played at Schooner Wharf and TJ and Ang stopped and played their when their gig was over. 

I went to Kim's new house this morning and cleaned  one of her blinds. Her new stove and microwave came. Then I went home. I payed bills and took care of other paperwork. The band had a double at Sunset Pier and Schooner Wharf. I watched "The Count of Monte Christo" since I just finished the book. The movie strayed a lot from the book. It was good, but the book is way better. Charlie's friend Mathew came over to spend the night and I quilted. Haven't done that in ages.

Monday

I exercised this morning. Then Kim brought the boys over and we babysat so she, Doug, and Tom could paint at their new house. 

Charlie and I painted with watercolors. I didn't really get anything else done before we went to Sloppy's at 3:30. Mikki and Randy went to Sloppy's too. 

I can't wait to go to sleep. :0)

We left about 8AM for the NASCAR race in Homestead. It started out sunny, then poured for a while. Then it was dry for the rest of the night. It was fun, but way comfy-er watching the race at Randy and Mikki's house. :0)

Saturday

We worked at the Habitat house from 8 AM till 4ish maybe. I left about 3 so But the boys worked longer. Their Sunset Pier gig was cancelled due to rain. I had to make a post office, Ship-It Store, and lunch-from-Winn Dixie run. 

The boys got the kitchen and bathroom tile floors broke up and cleaned out, and half the floor in the downstairs room.  It was a lot of work. Then Tom went over to Kim's new house and painted. I went to Kim's old house and hung out with Kim and we did a little crochet. Ce home and took Shannon home.

Friday

I did art with Charlie today. Then Tom called and they needed the boys' muscle at the Habitat house to load furniture onto the truck. We did that and then Tom and I went to a meeting about the house. We signed some papers and then met the boys over at Kim and Doug's new house. Ben, Garrett, and Joe helped out with some cleaning. I went home. 

A little while later we headed out to the Hurricane. Tom and I stopped at Home Depot to pick out the kitchen countertop. He bought a new sawzall too. We went back to the hurricane and our accountants secretary met us there with the correct tax papers we needed so we could get them in the mail. She's great! 

I left after an hour and went home.

Thursday

We did school till 3:30 when Charlie left for swimming. Kim and Doug dropped the boys off for about an hour so they could sigh the papers for buying their house. They get the keys tomorrow. 

After they picked up the boys I went over to TJ's to watch the girls. "The Family Band" had a gig at Hogfish. I got a little bit of home work done while there. 

I got home about 11 PM. I made some decaf coffee and ate Fig Newtons before pulling my sheets out of the dryer and making my bed. It was too late to read to Charlie so we just went to bed.

Wednesday

TJ dropped the girls off today at 8:30 AM. They had a double today so it watched them till close to 11 PM. 

I went to the exercise class at church in the morning. It was hard. I made myself go. I am noticing better flexibility since I've been exercising more. My left shoulder is still bothering me though. I don't know what's wrong with it. 

So, when I got home from that Tom made me go with Kurt and Joe to a friend's house to look at some furniture he was giving away. Kurt picked out a few things for his apartment and we went back home. I came home and did 3 days worth of dishes. I wasn't real excited about that. I wasn't home too long when Tom needed me  to meet him at the bank to sign something. There were no cars here so I had to call Kurt to come get me. He took me to the bank and then opened up an account for himself. This time Tom took me home. All this time we were also doing our schoolwork. 

Tom came  home to eat and told me that Habitat called him and said there were no dependents on our income tax that we gave them yesterday. (Tom had just mailed it two hours before to the IRS). Ughhhhh!!! You've got to be kidding me! Our taxes are messed up again! Three years in a row!!!! The accountant's secretary said they would take care of it, but it will surely postpone Habitat. Not sure what's going to happen with that. They scheduled a meeting with Tom on Friday. I don't even want to think about it. It's giving me am anxious feeling that I can't stand. I am not going to think about it anymore. It will work out somehow or we will be living in a van down by the river. I'm starting to hate houses. Houses and food! 

Kim came over and picked up the girls, Charlie, and me for church. I didn't have car seats or a car. Ha! I decided I want a little truck. I'd actually like an antique truck that's all curvy, but that won't happen. The Saturn is still working fine. It rattles and the air doesn't work and it runs ok, but when Kurt moves out it will be me, Tom, Ed, and Ben all sharing the car. That's not going to work. Think little truck.

After church Kim brought us home. I got Violet ready for bed and she fell asleep while I was putting her Jammie's on. Callie stayed up longer but finally fell asleep on the couch. I practiced my irish crochet. Kim and I are starting a project together. A few of the kids' friends were over. It was pretty noisy..

Tuesday

I went walking this morning. Charlie went to his fiddle lesson. Tommy did his schoolwork and I worked on my homework. We left at 3:30 for Sloppy Joes, picking up TJ and Jake at Walgreens on the way. Charlie went to swimming.

After we set up Tom went to pick up Charlie, and Tommy ran the sound until Tom got back. Sloppy's was busy like last night with a great crowd. I'm tired.

Saturday

I set the alarm this morning for 7 and by 8 o'clock most of us were over at the Habitat house. We are 99.9% sure that we are getting a Habitat for Humanity house and we went for our first workday. Mikki, Minolis, and Doug came to help.  

We spent the morning and early afternoon throwing out garbage, tearing down some illegal enclosures, and cleaning up the yard. The boys also carried out a lot of furniture and helped to rip out the carpeting. They were there for 2 hours and then went home to shower and went to Sunset Pier for a double. 

When we were done Tom and I went home. I helped Tommy finish his Logic project and he handed it in. That was a lot of work. I hope he gets a good grade. We are a all looking forward to next week off school for Thanksgiving.

Anyways, Tom went back over to the house with Garrett and Fran  and they washed all the ceilings, walls, and floors, it was a long day. .

Friday

I spent today helping Tommy with school projects. His Logic project was close to done, and we realized he had an Omnibus project due tonight too. Logic wasn't due till Saturday night, so we switched gears , worked on, finished, and handed in the Omnibus project. He's getting better with this new school

routine but has a tendency to put things off to the last minute and runs out of time if I'm not paying attention. 

I made soup for supper but the whole day was really spent with Tommy doing school. Oh, I watched TJ's girls too. :0)

Thursday

I went walking this morning, then got ready to go to the mainland for the day. Tom, Ed, TJ, Jake, and I went. Our first stop was at "Once Upon a Quilt" in Fort Lauderdale. We dropped off Kim's sewing machine for repairs and I bought a foot for my machine for so I can mess around with free motion quilting. Exciting!

Next, we went to Sawgrass Mall. The next time I go to a mall, remind me to leave Tom in the car. I think that was the first time in atleast two years that I've gone to a mall. All we did was walk. I think we went in one store because Tom complains he doesn't have anything nice to wear to church, but he wouldntnt get anything. He also has only one pair of shorts right now. Not good for Keys living, but again, he wouldn't get any, didn't even want to look. When I buy him clothes he doesn't like them. Oh well. I tried. 

We met some of Tom's relatives at the Cheesecake Factory. They are visiting in Fort Lauderdale from Buffalo and Michigan. That was fun. My favorite food there is the Spicy Chipotle Chicken. When we were done eating we walked over to the BB&T Center for the Panthers/Sabres hockey game. The Sabres won. Jake cried every time the Sabres scored. He's a Panther's fan. He also was given a puck from the ice. They sat right next to the glass. Tom's friend John met us there too.

After the game we walked back over to the mall and went back to Cheesecake Factory for dessert and to watch the end of the Bill's game. The Bills won today too. We all got cheescake. My favorite is the original cheesecake with sour cream on top.

We left for home at midnight and hope to be home by three AM.

Monday 

I haven't written since Wednesday I think.  We are way too busy. My friend Mikki invited me over one night and I wanted to go, but wanted to stay home too. I counted the days before and I hadn't been home one evening in 8 days straight. No wonder the laundry hadn't been folded for two weeks.  What a mess. 

Thursday Kim played a house concert with TJ, Ang, and Jake. Tom and I babysat, along with a Ailsa who I got to help me babysit, because Tom had to take Charlie to swimming. 

Friday was the night I got to stay home. The band played a wedding in Key West. I helped Tommy with homework and a project for his Logic class for a good part of the day. Emma came and surprised Ben for his birthday. 

Saturday we did more homework and more of Tommy's project. The band played at Sunset Pier. I went to Winn Dixie and then made two pumpkin pies, another pumpkin dessert, a giant pan of Buffalo Chicken Lasagna, and a salad. The boys played hockey and then we had a birthday party for Ben.

Sunday we went to church. Kim came over for a while, then I folded laundry forever, lots and lots of laundry. I did a little of my homework. I'm behind in my class too. Good thing I get to work at my own pace. I hope to get caught up or almost caught up this week. In the evening Tom and I went to church. I helped Tommy more with his project. He's been sick for two weeks. It started as a stomach thing and then turned into a fever, runny nose, and coughing. Ben, Ed, and Garrett were sick during the night. 

Monday

I went walkimg today.  We switched our internet to AT&T today. We will see how that works. Xfinity had been getting slower and slower. I kept the laundry moving and did school with Charlie. Tommy had his classes, then we went to Sloppy's. Jake and Callie played/sang. They were a big hit. Very cute. Tommy worked on his project at the gig.  Afterwards we stopped at Chicago's to see Nina's band.  Ben helped with sound and played a song on the drums. Ed and Kurt took pictures. Then we drove home.

Charlie was mad when he got to Sloppy's. Ed was supposed to drop him off at swimming on the way there, but they got stuck in a traffic jam while a helicopter landed. So he missed swimming. He'll get to go tomorrow. :0)

Wednesday 

I woke Tommy up 45 minutes early so he could finish his Logic homework. That class is hard. Then I made banana muffins for everyone. I put cranberries in 6 of them for me. No one else likes them. 

Today was Tommy's long day of classes, 6 hours straight, no breaks. I did school with Charlie for about 4 hours, then TJ dropped off the kids. They went to a gig at Blue Heaven with Joe.

We went to church, then afterwards Tom dropped the kids, Charlie and I off at TJ's house so I could put them to bed there. Tom picked me up about 11:30 and I went home and went straight to bed. 

November 3, 2015

Tuesday 

I woke up early today but I didn't feel terrible like I normally do. Then poor Charlie threw up in the hallway while I was still in bed. He had thrown up once during the night and made it to the bathroom, but not this time. That kind of changed my whole day. 

After cleaning up the mess, I couldn't get back into my morning routine; no devos, no walking, no school or swimming for Charlie, and I kept him home from his fiddle lesson. 

I did the dishes. They hadn't been done since Sunday night when Garrett did only half of them at around 1:30 AM. Nothing like waiting till the last minute. (We got home about 2 AM Sunday night). I also cleaned off the island. It clutters up so fast. 

I woke up Tommy for school. He had two online classes today. When they were over I gave him a half hour break and I laid down in my room. I can't sleep during the day but I relaxed. :0) Then I helped him with his logic homework. That class moves. No grass growing under that teacher's feet. So many definitions to memorize and concepts to grasp. 

So, TJ dropped off kids and I babysat for a little bit, then we left for Sloppy's. Kurt, Ed, Ben, Joe, and Rita all went to Key West earlier so it was just Tom, Tommy, and Jake in the big van. I rode down a little later with TJ, and Charlie stayed at Kim's house.

It's a little hard for me, doing Sloppy's two days in a row. For one thing, Tommy has no time for homework because his Monday classes end at 3:30, when we leave for the gig. We got in a little homework before leaving for Sloppy's today, and he did reading while they drove there, and did his Latin there. It's too loud in Sloppy's to concentrate on homework and there are too many distractions. I hoped we could get through the rest of his logic homework at Sloppy's but that didn't happen. We did a little when we got home at 11 PM, but Tommy is still sick with a fever. He couldn't stay awake and I gave him medicine.  I will wake him up at 8 to finish  his homework. It's hard enough keeping up with his homework. I don't want him to get behind. 

I rode home from the gig with TJ so I could get Charlie from Kim's. Tom's car was there so I drove it home.

Joe is sick too. He's had a temp since about Thursday, and Ed was plumb wore out towards the end of the gig. He was feeling weird, dizzy, and said it was hard to breathe, so he went and laid down in the van for the last two songs. Seems like we could all use a few days off with no responsibilities and then a few days to catch up.

Monday 

I exercised and did school. Ed, Ethan, and Kurt went out for breakfast at IHOP in Marathon. They brought a little leftover and Tommy and Charlie shared it. Ben wiped out big time on his little go-cart thing and got a painful case of road burn on his elbows, shoulder, and hip. 

Charlie went to swimming. We went to Sloppy's. Jake sang a new song, "Payday." He was great!! 

We are driving home now. The night air is a little cool. Feels good. :0)

Sunday

Got up early and went over to church for the 5K. I walked and got a first place. I can't remember what my first mile was but my second was 13:13 and my third was 13:00. I was happy with that. 

Went home and showered, then went to chirch with Tom, Charlie, and Ed. After church we got a ride home from Byron and Aida because Ed and Ben took the car to Key West to play with Nina at Sunset Pier. Kim came over. We ate salad and a succotash salad. 

When Kim left I worked on my class. Then it was time to leave for Schooner Wharf. That was a fun evening too, but my butt got sore from sitting too long. Randy and Mikki came. 

It's 12:41 and the kids are still loading up the trailer to go home. They seem to be doing a lot of talking. Their friend Ethan arrived today and I guess they have a lot to say.

Saturday

I finished the hand sewing on one more cushion, 4 more to go. The band headed out to there gigs, a double-header in Key West. I helped Tommy get his homework done for Monday, and did a little laundry. Then Charlie and I went over to see Angelica. She helped me place an order with Young Living. We were going to go to Kim's studio next, but Kim ended up not going, so we just visited her at her house.

We went home and Charlie got his costume on. Aaron and Shannon went with Charlie and I over to TJ's in Eden Pines to go trick-or-treating. We went with TJ, Ang, and kids. It was fun. We didn't stay out too late, and that was good, because I had to get up early the next morning.
