I woke up an hour early again. I didn't want to walk but went anyway. I started listening to "The Help" again. I think it's my third time.

The kitchen was a mess when I got up. The older kids started watching the new Superman movie at 11 PM last night so they left it messy.

I didn't want to do school either. I wanted to start at 10:30 but they are so slow we didn't start till noon. We worked till 4:30. I also made bread, vegetable chili, and cornbread while doing school. I made it for a late lunch, but there's was quite a bit left so I used it for supper. 

Tommy and Charlie went to their friends' house and I went to Walgreens and Winn Dixie. When I got home I made the chili, made spaghetti, cut the watermelon, and chopped the salad. I also made two pumpkin pies for Ben's birthday (which was yesterday).

The boys all played hockey and we ate afterwards. Then we sang to Ben and ate pie. I asked Aaron to empty the dishwasher and Kurt to wash.

Kim's to weave.

Talked to Joe's doctor. She's going to double his meds. 

Made a triple batch of granola.

Boys to art class.

Ate supper with Kim and Doug.

Today is Ben's 18th birthday.

I really need a week off school, but I don't want the kids doing nothing, so I guess now is not the time for a break.

Went to Bible study and back home. I tried to spin but wasn't having much luck so I quit. 

I started something new with the laundry. I fold each load right from the dryer. I've been doing it for 5 days now. I had much more to say but I'm falling asleep. G'night

I went for my walk. I've been getting up earlier start thanks to the time change. But school didn't start earlier. They are so pokey.

I decided not to got to gym class today, but if Helena offered to take them, they could go. She did, and she picked them up at 12:30. Before that though, about 10:45 am, Joe had a seizure. He hasn't had one for over 2 months, since he started medication. 

He was sitting in the kitchen on a stool at the island. He said something about dropping his phone 3 times, and I jokingly said, something wrong with your head? Next thing I knew his arms were stiff and jerking, his hands turned in, and I lunged for him and caught him before he fell. He did knock some things around on the counter, and he spilled his coffee everywhere, but we caught the mug before it fell off the counter so nothing broke.

He's heavy. Garrett helped me get him to the floor, and we put a couch pillow under his head. I sat on the floor by him for a few minutes. Then started cleaning up the coffee. After 5 minutes, joe kind of woke up. He mumbled something about going to bed. I told him to stay where he was so I could clean up the spilled coffee. He fell back asleep. About 10-15 minutes later, he got up. Said that his head hurt. It always does after his seizures. I gave him some ibuprofen and he moved to the couch. Then I got him some ice for his head. He was in and out of sleep a few times. I also called Joe's doctor. 

When Joe has a seizure, it drains me like it drains him.

No one else was home after Helena picked up the younger boys, so I had Joe go with me to Kim's so I could weave. I wove for 2 1/2 hour and then we went home. My Tai Chi class was cancelled. I was kind of glad. I took Joe with me to pick up my produce.

I made pizza dough and then a healthy pizza. I made a salad and washed some grapes. I ordered 6 pizzas and had to pick them up.

The boys played hockey. A bunch of friends were over. Then we ate. Tom, Ben, and I went to pick up another Harley. Toms going to clean it up and then sell it.

I've started something new with the laundry. I fold things right out of the dryer and put them away. The clean laundry used to line the hallway. What a mess. So far it's working great.

When we got home from picking up the Harley,  I went straight to bed.

I went for my walk. I'm thankful for the time change. It's easy to get up at 7 now. I tried a new recipe, pumpkin oatmeal. Ben said I should make it again. I thought it was ok.

I didn't clean out any cupboards today. I didn't want the younger boys wasting time doing nothing, so we just did school. At 2:30 I made and packed my lunch/ supper and then we were off to Sloppy Joes.

We had a great night, great crowd. I sat in the crowd for the second set, watching with Randy and Micky. It's much more fun watching from the audience than the side where I sit. The music was loud and I have a slight headache. I still love peace and quiet. :0)

Sunday

Today was my day off from walking, and we got an extra hour to sleep. Why did I wake up at 5 am unable to sleep? :0( I spent some time looking at pics on my phone. Then got up and cut out the next baby dress.

We went to church. I thought we were going to trade bunks in the boys room for some newer ones someone gave us, but it didn't happen. Tom got side tracked, and I don't think it will help the room to look any better. Two triple bunks and a double, the room is hopeless. Walking room only.

Tomorrow we are doing some spring, I mean fall, cleaning. It feels like spring up north, only warmer. :0) we are going to clean out kitchen cupboards.

Nina's band played at Sunset Pier today. Tom, Charlie, and I went swimming at Ida's. Unfortunately, the water was too cold, so we didn't stay long.

I went to Winn Dixie and bought about 3 days worth of food, came home, and started supper. The boys went to play hockey, some in Key West and some in Big Pine. I was able to a little embroidery while supper was cooking. I made Teriyaki chickpeas, brown rice, a giant salad, and watermelon. 

I did the dishes and folded a load of wash and went to bed. I just got out of bed though. I thought I heard Garrett and Aaron out on the trampoline after I told them to go to bed. So I went out on the porch and scolded them in the dark. When I came in I went in their room. Tommy and Aaron were in there, and Garrett was in the bathroom. So I just scolded some other kid on the trampoline. I don't know who it was. :0) 

Charlie wanted me to read to him but I said no. I told him I'd read in the morning. Charlie and Ariel made a fort in the living room with the cushions of the couch. They are sleeping in it.

Saturday

I walked and ate my oatmeal, then headed to Kim's studio. I spent two hours threading heddles and went home. I fed Charlie oatmeal and made myself lunch.

I had planned on spending most of the day at Kim's, but Tom wanted me to go with him on a date with Ed and Nina. We dropped Tommy and Charlie off at Kim's and we were on our way.

Tom's glasses broke this morning so we stopped at Sears and he got his eyes checked for new glasses. They didn't have anything he liked, so he didn't get new ones yet. He wants John Lennon glasses.

We met the band breaking down from their gig and picked up Ed and Nina. The restaurant didn't open for another hour, so we went to Dairy Queen first. 

We had a great dinner and a relaxed visit. Then we went home. I played a game with Charlie and then spun at my spinning wheel.

Friday

Went for my walk. Tom and I were going to go kayaking today, but were both too lazy to load the kayaks and everything that goes with it. So we went to Bahia Honda instead and walked the beach. 

When we got home. Some of the older kids went out for lunch with Fran. Charlie's fiddle teacher picked him up for his lesson and Joe and I headed to Winn Dixie.

Garrett, Tommy, and Aaron worked on their schoolwork while being distracted by two friends who spent the night. The older kids went to the studio for a lesson in lighting and photo taking. 

I made two cakes for Nina's birthday party tonight. One was a chocolate cake from scratch with a carmel filling and the other an Italian love cake. We ordered 8 pizzas and I made a salad.

We had a big crowd. There was at least 30 people here. We ate, had cake, and watched Doerfel home videos. What fun!

I cleaned up and went to bed. All the kids are watching a movie.
