Sunday

I had time for devos before church, then we were off. The band was so tired after two nights at the Hurricane and a double header yesterday. Only Ed was up when we left with the younger boys. 

My plan for after church was  to practice flute and fiddle, maybe read, and figure out supper and possibly make it before church at night. But...Tom and I went to Byron and Ida's instead and went swimming and visited by the pool. We haven't been to their house in months. Afterwards, we went out for Chinese, and then to church. Tom and I are taking our first course towards a Bible degree. 

Charlie hung out with a friend all day and they went swimming. Nina's band had a gig at Sunset Pier. Joe, Garrett, and Tommy hung out at home.

The boys played hockey. We had leftover salad and I made corn on the cob. We also had some leftover breakfast food from church. I wasn't hungry and didn't eat. I was super tired though, and got to bed by 11. :0) While the boys were eating and watching hockey I was able to get my reading done for the omnibus class.

Saturday

I went walking. It was a little muggy but there was a nice breeze. When I got back the band was getting ready to leave for Sunset Pier. 

I folded laundry all day and took care of kids. I paid bills. I listened to 2 lectures for the second time and took notes. I made coconut milk ice cream with the kids and we ate it. 

In the evening I let the kids watch a cartoon movie and I did the dishes. After that I did an omnibus lesson.

TJ and Ang came home. Her contractions stopped. They picked up the kids. I had Garrett take out some garbage. Tommy and Charlie kept fighting, arguing. Punks! They fight about everything.

Friday 

I decided to go walking first today since it has been getting so hot out. It worked out great for walking but I never got to my devos. People started getting up too early. I went to Kim's and helped her get another wrap threaded. 

We did school. Charlie couldn't practice his fiddle because he broke a string. Grrr. I ordered more on Amazon but that will take a few days. The school year is almost over. But we will take 3 weeks off in June when we take our trip up the east coast, and then get back to school when we come back. I was hoping to not do school during the summer but it looks like we must. I thought of bringing books with us, but experience tells me will hardly do them and they will take up room in the van. On the bright side, I will get three weeks off too.

TJ dropped off the kids because he and Ang were going to the birthing center. She had contractions all night and morning. The band went to the Hurricane and I stayed home with the kids. I have not had an evening to myself since I don't know when. The evening to myself consisted of me, Garrett, Tommy, Charlie, Jake, Callie, and Jonathan. So I guess it wasn't to myself, but I got to stay home and it wasn't a hockey night. So I didn't make supper, no salad, no tons of dishes. I shouldn't have, but we had pizza, subs, and Garrett got Chinese. 

We started to watch an Indiana Jones movie but had to turn it off. I didn't want Jake to have nightmares. We watched Rugrats instead. 

I cleaned off the kitchen island. The kids throw everything on it, and the living room and kitchen looked pretty good. I did some laundry. My plants got watered today too.

We went to bed after 11. Jake and Callie slept on a mattress next to Ed's bed in the computer nook. It's perfect for them, they can't fall off.

Thursday

TJ dropped the kids off at 8:30. We did chores and school. Oatmeal and berries for breakfast. Hummus, cucumber, and tomato wraps for lunch. The big kids spent most of the day at church, practicing and setting up for youth. Tommy had a guitar lesson. 

Charlie went to Shannon's. I started supper so it would be ready later, lentil cauliflower tacos and salad. 

Rob came up and we took Jake and Callie to the park. Then tom came and he and Rob skated. When the park closed we went home. Jake and Callie were super good all day but when we got home they fought over Rob's phone and wouldn't eat supper. The boys and some of their friends came home. Everyone ate, and the lentil cauliflower tacos were a big hit. 

We watched the Boston and Montreal hockey game. I had Ben fill the dishwasher and Garrett finished up

the dishes. I stayed up an hour later than I wanted. I need to go walking tomorrow.

Wednesday

I didn't get out walking today. I got up too late and it was too hot. I practiced fiddle with Charlie and then we did school. The big kids had meetings. Tommy and Charlie went to art class at the park. 

I invited TJ and Ang over for supper. I figured they wouldn't have much time to make anything between practice and the Bible study. I made sweet potato blackbean tacos for supper and added apples and walnuts to last night's leftover salad. It was very yummy. 

We went to church for Bible study. Kim, Ang, TJ, Joe, and Ben played in the worship band. Afterwards, Charlie and I stopped at Winn Dixie. Charlie wanted chocolate cake and I bought berries. I bought some fruit for a man that sits on the porch in front of the store but he didn't want it. 

We came home. The big kids stayed at the church to set up and practice for youth tomorrow. Tom wanted to watch hockey but he needed Ed to make the projector and everything work, so he couldn't watch. He really wanted to watch but the boys didn't answer his texts. So he went to bed.

I did an Omnibus lesson and had Garrett and Tommy do the dishes.

Tuesday

I made myself go walking. It was a little after 10 am, so I got a little sunburned. I showered, ate, and we hurried off to gym class. Our fridge was pretty empty, no berries, so I dropped the boys off and went to Publix and got groceries. Went back to the park and picked up the boys. 

When we got home I sat on the back porch swing for an hour. Then I headed to Tai Chi. I wanted to stay home, but I'm glad I went. Tommy had some more AV training at church. Tonight was his first night working there.

I came home and sat out on the porch, this time in the hammock chair. The big kids sat around all day. They were playing video games when I got back from my class. That annoyed me. The living room was a mess. Dirty kitchen. That's why I sat on the porch. I gave Garrett the job of picking up the living room. I think Garrett got stuck with dishes too.

The boys went to the park to play hockey. I made the salad and ordered pizza and wings. They came back and we ate and watched...you guessed it! Hockey!  A few of us helped to clean up the kitchen and we went to bed.

April 28, 2014

Monday

Quiet time and walked. I might start running again. I'm thinking about it. After I showered we started school. After about 2 hours I made Kale Soup. I also made a cucumber salad. We ate the soup before we left for Sloppy's but ate the salad while driving to the gig.

I practiced fiddle with Charlie. I enjoy practicing. 

We went to Sloppy's. Ben has a cold so I  walked to CVS and bought him medicine.

We had a great, fun crowd tonight. We had a lot of fans at the show tonight. It was fun talking to them. I'm glad they came and talked to me.i also appreciate the staff at Sloppy's who always take great care of us. Thank you all!

When we drove home Tom went thru the McDonald's drive thru and bought icecream. When we got home I got a second burst of energy and folded a basket of laundry. I made it to bed at 1 AM.
